Terms and Conditions
Booking & Payment Terms: A booking can be made for two nights or more and arriving any available day. This can be made by telephone or using our secure on-line booking page at our website. A 40% deposit will be required to confirm a booking with the balance due one month before arrival. If booking within the month the full amount will be requested on booking. We accept all cards except Amex, and have no hidden charges. Late payment may result in cancellation of the dates booked and the Cancellation Policy below will then apply as if you had requested the cancellation.
Cancellation Policy: In the event of you needing to cancel your stay at Stonegate Court, we will make every effort to re book the cancelled dates. We will refund the cost of the accommodation at Stonegate Court less the published price of any days left vacant i.e. not re booked. The liability for any loss to you against the cost of your holiday will need to be met by your Holiday Insurance which you are advised to set up. In the unlikely event of York Luxury Holidays needing to cancel your stay we shall of course refund the full cost paid for your accommodation at Stonegate Court.
Insurance: Apartment - Charges may apply for any breakages or damage. Please arrange your own insurance in case you need to cancel your stay (see above).
Car-Parking: Stonegate Court is in the centre of York on a site of major archaeological importance, therefore vehicle access to drop off/collect luggage is restricted to before 11am and after 4pm Monday – Friday and before 10.30am or after 4.30pm on a Saturday, unless a disabled badge is held in which case three hours parking is permitted at any time of day. We provide a free car-park permit for the length of your stay at Marygate car-park just 5 mins away. You can collect the permit upon arrival at your apartment and it must be returned upon departure. If you lose the pass you will be charged for its replacement at £60 + each 24 hours parking fee until a new permit is issued. If you forget to return the permit immediately on departure you will be required to pay the full 24 hour parking rate for each day until the permit is returned. We accept no liability for loss or damage to your vehicle or its contents whilst parked. By using the permit you are accepting these conditions outlined.
Telephone/internet usage: Costs for telephone usage may be charged up to 2.4p per minute to UK landline. Costs for international calls vary. Please refer to information file in apartment. Calls to mobile phones are charged at their specified rates. Emergency services and calling Sue Kitchener are free. Any costs may be charged following departure. We offer free wi-fi.
Other Policies: Please note that your apartment is completely and strictly No Smoking and pets are not permitted. If guests smoke in the apartment a £50 fine will be charged and, if we subsequently lose business, we reserve the right to recover our losses directly from the offender.
Please also note that Stonegate Court is in a quiet residential area so your consideration in keeping noise and disruption to a minimum is appreciated. York Luxury Holidays reserves the right to evict guests who cause noise, damage or disruption, and to cancel a booking where unreasonable or unacceptable changes are made prior to arrival. In such circumstances no refund will be given. Only those named on your form may stay in the apartment (max adults two in #6 and four in #15). We do not accept bookings for single sex non-family groups of more than two people.
Access: The apartment are normally ready for 3pm at the latest, earlier if we have no-one leaving that day; guests are welcome to drop off luggage anytime after 10.30am. As we do not live on site it is important that you nominate a time slot on the information form sent with your booking confirmation so that we can arrange to meet you with the apartment keys and ensure you are comfortable in your new environment. Your consideration in contacting us asap should your journey be delayed would also be very much appreciated. We reserve the right to cancel through unreasonable late arrival which is not communicated and agreed as soon as possible, and in such cases no refund would be given.
Departure: Departure is normally before 10.00am. If you need to leave before I arrive just lock up and put the key and parking permit through the letterbox. We are happy to look after luggage.
