Terms and Conditions
Booking & Payment Terms: A booking can be made for two nights or more and arriving any available day. This can be made by telephone or by using the secure on-line booking page at the York Luxury Holidays website. A 40% deposit will be required to confirm a booking with the balance due one month before arrival. If booking within the month the full amount will be requested on booking. York Luxury Holidays accept all cards except Amex, and have no hidden charges. Late payment may result in cancellation of the dates booked and the Cancellation Policy below will then apply as if you had requested the cancellation.
Cancellation Policy: In the event of guests needing to cancel a stay at Stonegate Court, the accommodation owners will make every effort to re-book the cancelled dates. A refund will be made of the cost of the accommodation at Stonegate Court less the published price of any days left vacant i.e. not re-booked. The liability for any loss to guests against the cost of the booked holiday accommodation will need to be met by Holiday Insurance which guests are advised to set up. In the unlikely event of the accommodation owners needing to cancel a stay, guests shall be refunded the full cost paid for accommodation at Stonegate Court.
Insurance: Apartment - Charges may apply for any breakages or damage. Please arrange insurance in case of needing to cancel a stay (see above).
Car-Parking: Stonegate Court is in the centre of York on a site of major archaeological importance, therefore vehicle access to Blake Street, for the entrance to Stonegate Court apartments to drop off/collect luggage, is restricted to just a few minutes outside of pedestrian zone only times (unless a disabled badge is held in which case three hours parking is permitted). Cars cannot enter Blake Street between 10.30am and 5pm on any day unless disabled. Please put hazard lights on and display the unloading notice sent with the booking confirmation. Guests will be provided with free parking for the length of the stay at either nearby Marygate car-park or Gillygate; both are less than 5 mins walk away. Guests can collect the free parking permit/entry key upon arrival at the holiday apartment and it must be returned upon departure. Loss of the permit will result in charges for its replacement at full cost (upto the value of £360 + each 24 hours parking fee until a new permit is issued. If the permit is not returnied immediately on departure guests will be required to pay the full 24 hour parking rate for each day until the permit is received back. The owners accept no liability for loss or damage to a guest's vehicle or its contents whilst parked. By using the permit/access key guests are accepting these conditions outlined. The permit MUST be displayed clearly on the car dashboard whilst parked at Marygate car-park.
Telephone/internet usage: Costs for telephone usage may be charged up to 2.4p per minute to UK landline. Costs for international calls vary. Please refer to information file in apartment. Calls to mobile phones are charged at their specified rates. Emergency services and calling the owners are free. Any costs may be charged following departure. There is free wi-fi. UK land line calls are free on weekends and after 7pm (maximum call 1 hour duration).
Other Policies: Please note that the apartments are completely and strictly No Smoking and pets are not permitted. If guests smoke in the apartment a £50 fine will be charged and, if business is subsequently lost, the apartment owners reserve the right to recover losses directly from the offender.
Please also note that Stonegate Court is a quiet residential area so consideration in keeping noise and disruption to a minimum is appreciated. The owners of the holiday apartments reserve the right to evict guests who cause noise, damage or disruption, and to cancel a booking where unreasonable or unacceptable changes are made prior to arrival. In such circumstances no refund will be given. Only those named on the booking confirmation form may stay in the apartment (max adults are two in #6 and four in #15). Bookings for single sex non-family groups of more than two people are not permitted. If this is ignored the apartment owners have the right to cancel a booking or refuse access with no refund.
Access: The apartments are normally ready for 3pm at the latest, earlier if no-one is leaving that day; guests are welcome to drop off luggage anytime after 10.30am. As the apartment owners do not live on site guests may be asked to give an approximate arrival time so that access to the apartment can be arranged together with collection of keys and parking permits. Consideration in contacting the owners asap should a journey be delayed would also be very much appreciated. The owners reserve the right to cancel through unreasonable late arrival which is not communicated and agreed as soon as possible, and in such cases no refund will be given.
Departure: Departure is normally before 10.00am. Luggage may be secured until approximately 2pm
