Stonegate Court building is located on Blake Street within the historic city walls and is therefore in a conservation area and on a site of major archaeological importance. For this reason it is largely pedestrianised so cars cannot enter the area at all between 10.30am - 5pm on any day. Outside of these times parking is for a few minutes only to allow drop off/pick up. Disabled badge holders can enter the street and park at any time of day for a maximum of 3 hours.
If arriving by car arrangements for free car parking at a nearby car-park can be made for 1 vehicle per apartment. The car parks are just a 5 minute walk from the apartments through the Museum Gardens off Museum Street to Marygate car-park for the one bedroom apartment or off Gillygate for the two bedroom apartment (see map above). Full directions to Stonegate Court, which is the building located at 11 Blake Street, and Marygate/Gillygate car-parks, will be sent with your booking confirmation and you can collect your permit & keys on arrival at your apartment. Disabled badge holders can park 24/7 for free at nearby Marygate car-park.
If arriving by train, Stonegate Court, Blake Street is approximately 5 minutes walk over the river (not easy with luggage though) or 3 minutes in a taxi from York Railway Station.
The owners will make arrival and access arrangements with you directly. As the owners don't live on site you may be asked to nominate an approximate arrival time in advance.
